Valeria

This afternoon I met up with Valeria for her senior photos. She’s a high school senior at Desert Vista graduating in just a few months. As you all know, I LOVE photographing seniors and Valeria did not disappoint. Good times, for sure! Thanks, Valeria!

Tom and Trisha

Tom and Trisha are my bestest friends in the world. I love them like family. They are the funniest, kindest, most thoughtful couple you could ever meet! Curt and I are so lucky to be their friends!
They just got engaged this year and will be getting married next year on some fabulous beach somewhere warm and beautiful.  I can’t wait!

This one makes me laugh because it is “so them”!

This is one of my favorites:

This one made me laugh so hard, I cried! As my husband said, “there’s funny people and then there’s hilarious people, like Trisha”. He’s so right! And I have this picture to prove it!
Trisha, don’t kill me for posting this but I love you so much and this picture is one of the reasons why. Because you are AWESOME!

Nicole and Adam

I have to say I’m one of those people who totally believe in fate. I’m always saying, “don’t worry, if it’s meant to be, it will be”. However, I have to admit there are a few times when I get a little sad when I really want something and things don’t go my way. When Nicole asked me to photograph their wedding, I was already booked and this was one of those times when I did get bummed about it. Nicole is just one of those people that you just want to be her friend and spend time with her. So… (while I was sulking) I made sure to recommend her to my favorite photographer friends in town to photograph their wedding. It turns out Nicole called me a few weeks later to tell me that they had changed their wedding date and that I get to photograph their wedding. I guess I was right all along. “If it’s meant to be, it will be”.
We started their session at their gorgeous home:

Then we went out for some fun:

On the way back to their house we stopped by the Brophy Chapel where they will be getting married next March:

Nicole and Adam, you guys are so much fun, I can’t wait for your wedding next year and I hope I get to see you again before then :) Enjoy your photos!

Rachelle & Jordan: wedding

Rachelle and Jordan were married yesterday. Their ceremony and reception was at Rachelle’s parents home and it was absolutely stunning. Rachelle and Jordan did much of the work themselves and everything felt so personal and inviting. I feel so honored to have been a part of it :)

Getting ready:

Rachelle’s entire family was so much fun and so welcoming. They made me feel like a part of the family. Here’s her grandma. Loved her!

I love this picture of Rachelle getting ready and you can see a photograph of her great-grandma in the background.
Rachelles “to-die-for”, “so-her” shoes:

Stunning bride:
A few touch-ups before the ceremony. And once again, thank you to Celestial who (as usual) did an amazing job with Rachelle’s make-up:

Right before the ceremony:

Rachelle’s grandma was their officiant:
A candid moment right after the ceremony:
A few portraits…

… and a lot more fun!
Rachelle and Jordan, thank you so much for being so thoughtful. It was so much fun being a part of your wedding and I truly hope you love these images for many years to come.

Cristi, you continue to amaze me. You are so talented. I love the one where she’s looking in the mirror and you can see her great-grandmother in the background. I’m so glad I got to work with you again!!!

Cristi–you have some really stunning shots. I especially love the first image of the Rachelle…looks like it is a shot out of a magazine; beautiful light!

Opie and Cleo

Oh yeah, and Gary and Amy too…

This photoshoot was all about Cleo. She’s getting older and Amy and Gary wanted to make sure they had some portraits of her. Isn’t she the cutest?
I do have to say that even though Cleo was the main reason for the shoot, Opie was definitely the rockstar of the day. Such a poser:

Amy and Gary, it was sooo nice to meet you. You guys are so fun! I hope you love these and let me know what Opie and Cleo think of them :)
