Cutest family you’ve ever seen? Yes, I know, I know… my clients are the cutest! And this is one of my favorite images I’ve ever taken!
It had been a while since I shot a family session and it was so great to meet the Allen family and capture some fun family moments for them. It made me realize how much I miss family sessions so if you’ve been procrastinating and haven’t scheduled a session for this Holiday Season, you are in luck! Come back and check the blog tomorrow as I will be announcing some really great news for you. You will be able to save money and help others in need.
For now, enjoy this awesome family session
I love Nate’s enthusiasm here. I think we were talking about airplanes.

He could seriously model for Gap kids:

Nope, we had no fun at all

Is there a greater feeling than flying in your dad’s arms when you are 3 years old? I don’t think so.

Good looking family and I just love Nate’s pose here:

Before anyone asks, nope I did not photoshop his eyes.

And look at this charming smile… He is on his way to breaking many girls’ hearts. I am sure.
Thanks again guys! I hope you love your images
When it comes to tradition, I am the Blair Waldorf in my family. This means that when it comes to planning Easter egg hunts, hosting Thanksgiving dinner, planning birthday parties or buying Christmas ornaments, I am your girl. I am not sure why I like tradition so much, but I always have. There’s something about it that is comforting to me. Plus any excuse to do things with the people I love just makes me happy.
Imagine my excitement when my nephew suggested all on his own that we get a pumpkin while he was here last Sunday! Curt went to the store and came back with the most awesome pumpkin and a carving kit. Now, let’s be clear, this is definitely a new tradition for me. I grew up in Brazil and the only thing we do with pumpkins there is eat them. The first (and only) pumpkin I had ever carved before this was just a few years ago for a contest at work. And I can’t say we really carved it as we mostly drew on it and added ribbon for hair
And since I was a dietitian and worked in the nutrition department, we also gave our pumpkin a feeding tube. I know, not your usual pumpkin, but it was still pretty cute
Here’s the pattern Nate picked out:

One thing I love about this little one is how certain he always is about all of his choices. He picked this pattern right away but I made him look through the whole book anyways (because I could never make a decision without checking out all of my options first). He is sweet enough to sit with me and flip through every page knowing that he won’t change his mind. So after looking through the whole book he assured me he still wanted the pattern he had already initially picked out. “Yep, I’m suuure” I love him!
Taping the pattern on the pumpkin:

And then taking it off…

At first he was a little concerned with touching all the “sticky, squishy” parts…

It smells good!

We separated the seeds and baked them later…

And since we had to wait until it got dark to light our pumpkin we moved on to some other games until then.

And finally, Nathan and his first Halloween pumpkin:

So fun! Love you, Nate
Such great images of your new tradition. You’ll treasure these for a long time. Hope he is feeling better.

Beth and Matt’s wedding this past Saturday was so much fun! I met Beth and Matt this past April for their engagement session at the Desert Botanical Gardens and ever since then I couldn’t wait for their wedding.
Let’s start with some details:

Beth’s friend who did all of the girl’s make-up was absolutely amazing! All the girls looked flawless and they were all on time
. She’s starting her own business so I will be adding her information for all of you soon. I was truly impressed with her work.

A really fun surprise about this wedding was one of Beth’s bridesmaids, Amy. Amy’s wedding was the first wedding I ever photographed with Jennifer Bowen before I even started to blog. It was her wedding that pushed me to want to be a full-time wedding photographer. Before this, I had only photographed weddings for family and friends. Needless to say, it was really special for me to see her and Jeremy again.

And now for a really fun twist of fate, I had already photographed Beth since she was one of Amy’s bridesmaids! Here’s a photo I took of Amy and her girls (including Beth). Isn’t this awesome?!

Beth’s grandmother was so much fun and I loved her camera!

Beth had some pretty incredible girls supporting her throughout the day. She’s a very lucky girl to have so many wonderful girlfriends.

I love the look on Beth’s mom’s face as she see’s her daughter in her wedding dress:

The beautiful bride:

Their first look was so touching:

A few portraits before the ceremony:

I really love this one:

Beth’s dad walked her down the aisle:

Matt looking at his bride:

I really loved the ceremony site at the Double Tree Paradise Valley. It was beautiful and had some nice even light throughout the whole ceremony, allowing for some beautiful photos.

All of Beth’s bridesmaid’s got to pick their own black heels:

I think every couple should take a few minutes during their ceremony to look at all of their guests who are there to support them and take it all in. Such a special moment.

Beth’s grandmother again. I just adored her

Married!!

Fun bridal party

A few more details:

Their reception was quite the party:

Beth and Matt, have a blast in Hawaii! Thank you for the wonderful day and for being so awesome!
The pictures turned out beautiful! You and your crew made the pictures so much fun!

They are such warm and welcoming people. I just knew their wedding would be filled with love, friends, laughter, dancing and a whole lot of smiles… And I was so right!
My friend Jenny came along with me and got some really great images. Make sure to check her blog for some more images of the day.
