St. Louis Snapshots
While I was in St. Louis to photograph Aimee & Loreto’s wedding, we took a walk from our hotel to the famous Arch and I took a few snapshots during our stroll.
Here’s our super cool hotel, The Marriott Union Station. Inside it was even better but sadly I didn’t take any pictures of that.
Here’s my second photographer, Princess Lisette:

A cool view of the arch:
Thanks Lisette for this next shot:
And here’s tourist Lisette :)

While we were waiting for our turn to go up the Arch… I just couldn’t resist.
So when they finally called us into the next room, this is what we saw. A tiny little door that reminded me of the movie Willie Wonka. We weren’t sure what to expect next and I couldn’t stop laughing at Lisette’s comments about what would be behind the door.
When it finally opened this is what we saw. An egg! If you are even remotely claustrophobic, do not attempt this. It was pretty tight in there.
The ride up was pretty funny, especially since the other 3 people in the egg with us happened to be friends of Aimee and Loreto in town for their wedding!
The view from the top is pretty cool too.
Here’s my way of trying to document both Lisette and I with the arch at the same time. She was trying to talk to her husband on the phone and I’m all like “Come here! Ok, lower!” Hahaha, Thanks Lisette!

Later that day we attended the rehearsal dinner at this cool brewery:
Loreto told me not to bring my camera and just enjoy the night, but you can’t invite a photographer to a party and not expect any pictures! Here they are during toasts:

The day after the (14-hour) wedding, Lisette and I slept in and then had a super nice lunch by the water where a bird almost pooped on us. By an inch! It gave me flashbacks from Italy where Curtis had bird poop on his shirt on a daily basis! Hey, they say it’s good luck! During lunch I shared with Lisette my love for Christmas ornaments and that I get one every time I visit a new place. So, after lunch we went searching and found the perfect one! And Lisette got a matching one too!
This was such a great trip! Thank you Aimee and Loreto for the honor of photographing your wedding and for being so incredibly thoughtful. And thank you Lisette for being such a great tourist with me :) I cannot wait to hang my St. Louis ornament on the tree this year!
